In October 2000, the Naturopathic Centre
for Reproductive Health was established by Dr. Judith Fiore, ND, in Toronto's West End, where a complete
range of naturopathic services (acupuncture, homeopathy, nutritional counselling, herbal medicine, etc.) for couples and individuals
with fertility concerns was offered. This successful practice has now moved to the downtown core, in close proximity to a number of Toronto's finest medical fertility clinics. Whether you are planning on conceiving
in the near future and would like pre-conception care, or
you are currently receiving conventional medical treatment,
naturopathic support will dramatically improve your chances
of conception and carrying to term a healthy baby.
Of special interest would be our clinic's on-site acupuncture support for IVF patients of Dr. Robert Casper and associates at TCART (Toronto Centre for Advanced Reproductive Technologies) and the Toronto West Fertility Center with Dr. Edward Ryan and Dr. Anne Claessens through the Create Fertility Centre. Our office is on the 10th floor at 790 Bay, which is one floor below the Create Fertility Centre. We are also situated near LifeQuest Centre for Reproductive Medicine and the Hannam Fertility Centre, as well as near the practices of Dr. Ky Li and Dr. Patrick Hewlett. We also provide acupuncture and naturopathic services to patients of Mount Sinai's Reproductive Biology Unit (RBU).
At the Naturopathic Fertility Centre, therapies such as nutrition, acupuncture, homeopathy, botanical medicine, and Bowen Therapy are utilized in order to offer a full range of high quality naturopathic care. Naturopathic therapies can help those with unexplained fertility concerns, endometriosis, PCOS, POF, low sperm counts, hormonal imbalances, irregular cycles, etc. Research on acupuncture in combination with patients who are undergoing IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) treatment has shown positive results.
For couples, a complete pre-conception plan is available. In particular, therapies for male factor fertility issues and recurrent pregnancy loss (miscarriage) are featured. New research is prompting Dr. Fiore to offer specific treatments to help men increase their motility, count, and improve morphology percentages, as well as decrease DNA sperm fragmentation. For women with recurrent pregnancy loss, treatment will be geared to helping overcome miscarriage and carry a healthy pregnancy to full term.

Dr. Judith Fiore, ND, Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, has dedicated her practice to helping individuals and couples with fertility problems. She is a registered Naturopathic Doctor who is a graduate of the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Concordia University (Montreal), and has lectured on fertility for the 3rd year ND class at CCNM. Dr. Fiore is the author of The Naturopathic View, a regular column published in Creating Families, the journal of the Infertility Awareness Association of Canada (IAAC). She also lectures on Naturopathic Medicine and Fertility at meetings, conferences, and support groups. She has presented on Integrating Naturopathy with IVF at the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors convention. She has spoken about Naturopathic Medicine and Fertility for the Canadian Fertility and Andrology Society (CFAS). Dr. Fiore's decision to focus on fertility was influenced by her personal life experience, which clearly showed her how important it was to have the support of natural or alternative therapies to improve chances of conception and maintaining a healthy pregnancy.
Dealing with infertility is an emotional roller coaster that takes its toll on a person's psychological and physical health, and can be a huge burden financially. Seeing a naturopathic doctor who is dedicated to helping individuals and couples improve their health and fertility makes a difference. Whether or not there is the success of having a child, the fact is that improving your own health can also encourage increased self-esteem and confidence.
